About us

Message from Chair

It is with great pleasure I extend to you this invitation to join us for the fourth Asia Pacific Autism Conference in Brisbane from 9th-11th September, 2015.

APAC15 is jointly hosted by Autism Queensland, the State’s leading and most experienced agency in the provision of targeted services to people with ASD, and the Australian Advisory Board on Autism Spectrum Disorders, the national peak body providing advice to the Australian Government on issues affecting people with autism and their families.

The theme of APAC15, “Transforming Futures” reflects the ways in which research, education and specialist early intervention are generating successful and increasingly positive outcomes for individuals and families living with ASD.

The APAC conference series is a recognised forum in which to present and learn about the newest research and practices within the field of ASD. APAC15 is the fourth of these events, following on from Sydney, Perth and most recently Adelaide. APAC15 will feature keynote addresses from international and Australian experts in ASD alongside a diverse range of symposia sessions, workshops and poster presentations.

Australian research will be a major focus for the conference as a result of the establishment of the Cooperative Research Centre for Living with Autism Spectrum Disorders in Brisbane in 2013 that is now leading research at institutions across Australia. APAC15 will be the first opportunity for insight into key updates on research coming out of the Autism CRC.

We look forward to welcoming you to APAC15 and Brisbane in 2015 for an exciting three days of expert learning and networking opportunities with colleagues from around the world.
